Brother Knights, here is an update from the 4th Degree Meeting this past Weds. Some of the information is timely and would be outdated news we waited until our next meeting.
- Congratulations goes out to our very own Deputy Grand Knight Benote Wimp for being chosen as the “Knight of the Month”! As most of you know, Benote has been very active with the Knights. Most recently stepping up to the plate and chairing the Tootsie Roll Drive. He is our 4th Degree Captain and we are looking forward to adding several new members to the 4th Degree Chapter of the Dr. Thomas Dooley Assembly this coming February. Please make sure to congratulate Benote next time you see him.
- 4th Degree Exemplification date is Saturday February 20th – Get your application and payment in as soon as possible and lock in the date. Please see the attachment for complete details on how to complete the application as well as the schedule of events.
- St. Isidore K of C council is hosting a Wine Tasting Event on Saturday Oct. 24th from 6pm – 9pm in the Ministry Center. Pre-registration cost is only $13 per person of $25 for couples. At the door it is $15 per person. To pre-register send payment to St. Isidore Parish 427 W. Army Train Rd. Bloomingdale, IL 60108-1389. For more information, contact Ed Hauser via email at jejhauser@sbcglobal.net. Come out and sample some wine and maybe you’ll run into Fr. Dennis.
- All Brother Knights are invited to a special Memorial Mass for Deceased Brother Knights held on Saturday, November 7th at 5:00pm held at the St. Benedict Chapel / Krasa Center of Benedictine University 5700 College Road, Lisle, IL 60532. A light dinner will be served afterwards in the Krasa Center cafeteria at $10 per person. Please RSVP by October 31st to Jack McCarthy, PFN, Chairman #847-934-7487. See attached map of the college for location on campus. We strongly encourage you to attend to reinforce the Fraternal aspect of the Knight of Columbus. An honor guard has been requested of any 4th Degree Knights.
